1.) Respect everyone!  This does not mean your character has to like everyone.  This means out of character you should be nice and courteous to everyone.  This is a place for fun, so please do not ruin it for others by being mean or rude.  


2.) What staff says goes!  This forum is AU, but the amount of AU'ness involving the past is up to the staff's discretion.  If there's something you want to change that changes other canons in a large way, then it probably will not be approved.  Please do not argue with a staff's decision not to accept something that is AU about a canon character.  This also applies if one wants a plot in the future that the staff deny for any reason.  

Major canons will be more strict on the 'canon' aspects, but minor canons can be pretty much whatever they want as long as they do not interfere with a canon's app, or other character apps.** However all canons can have one major change: they can be swept up by the curse if you choose to do so.

3.) Each character should have their own account.  This can sometimes be a bother if you wish to have several characters, but if you press the little people button in the bottom right corner you can switch easily between accounts.  


4.) Character Limit: Each person can only have 2 major canons.  Minor canons, or people who don't show up in basically every episode of the show, is up to the player's discretion (**See below for the list of 'major canons').  It is suggested that those who interact with each other on a very regular basis are not played by the same player.  OCs are completely and totally allowed and the only restriction is that the player keep them active!  Since 2 major canons per person is allowed, but avoid those who interact all the time (ie Rumple and Belle, Emma and Regina, Henry and Emma/Regina).


5.) What does 'active' mean?  Well there's varying definitions, but essentially post.  Canons should definitely be active, so that others can play with them too!  We'll define active as 'posting at least once in the last two weeks', though there will be activity checks.  Of course if you have a ton of threads and no one is replying to them, we'll keep this in mind when looking for activity!


6.) Word Count!  There is a minimum 100 words per post.  It shouldn't really be hard to reach the minimum but this is in place to avoid one-line replies.  When in doubt of how much you should post, think about the other person who you're RP'ing with: if they posted 1000 words, try at least to reach 500-750, or something like that in response. Honestly this won't be heavily enforced, just post what you can post and try your best to reach 100 at least each post.  


7.) Only Real Life Face Claims!  And everyone has to have one!  OCs have to have an actor or a model or someone to be their face: essentially who should play them if they were truly in the show ignoring the budget as they would probably never be able to get people like Chris and Liam Hemsworth but this also means that repeats aren't allowed (unless there's a good reason, ie they are twins).  Canons FCs are reserved for their canon counter parts!  It is suggested that you don't change the canon fcs unless they are minor.  ** See below for the list of major and minor canons.


8.) Want to do a big site wide plot that you came up with?  Suggest it through PM to the staff.  And please don't be offended if they reject the idea, its nothing against you or the plot, there are a lot of reasons, which will normally be given if rejected.  If accepted, then yay!  The plot will be a site-wide event and we'll have fun playing with it.  


9.) Fighting: No one is strong enough to beat the Black Fairy on their own.  No one is strong enough to beat the Dark One on their own (unless they somehow stole the dagger).  Of course an OC can have power and be fairly powerful on their own, but the thing is, there is a cap of power set by the show and thus there shouldn't be 'almighty' OCs that break those rules.  This doesn't mean that people like the Black Fairy cannot be beaten: this means that you should probably get some help if you wanna fight someone like her.  


When you fight, or just in general RP, there is no godmodding, which means let the other decide how they react, don't describe the other as shocked, or that a punch hit them, let the player decide what their character does or doesn't do.  


10.) When you have finished you application, before RP'ing allow the staff to approve the application first.  Also change your display name to that of your character's name.  Of course there's two names for many of the characters, pick one to use, then there is an aka slot where you can insert their other name.


11.) To set up your profile, there are a few fields to fill out. First is your name, and be sure that your display name is your cursed name, or the name they go by in Storybrooke.

The Fairy Tale Name is the true name, for those without a 'true' name, or rather if they only have the Storybrooke name, this is where you'll place n/a.

In Fairy Tale Story, this is where they originate from, if from OUAT itself, such as Emma, then place OUAT in that blank, otherwise the story (keep it brief and only name one story they are in even if they are a character from many stories).

Then there is the Alias position and that's where you place your name, the one you'll use out of character.

In the 250x400 Image place the URL of an image with the dimensions of 250x400 of your character. It is suggested to put their storybrooke appearance in this one, or the one people would see.  

In the 200x100 Image place the URL of an image with the dimensions of 200x100 of your character. If they looked different before the curse this is where you can place a picture of their alter ego.

The Plotter and Application fields should hold the URL to the respective posts of yours. Wait until you are approved to place the application link in your profile.

Your "Most Recent Status" will show up in your mini-profile so it is suggested you place a quote that represents your character, but this could be anything from lyrics to an update of your life to whatever you want it to be.

The MP3 link is optional, and requires a url that ends with mp3, which you can obtain with kiwi6 or google drive and various other free sharing drives.  

12.) Have fun! That's what we're here for isn't? When you fill out your application simply have their 'cursed' name (if applicable) first then brackets around their fairy tale name as the title of your thread. If no cursed name, then place the name they will go by and in brackets place [Non-Cursed] after the name. That will be your 'password' from reading the rules, so be sure to do it or your app might get denied!
